So, if you really don't believe in God

why don't you live the crime life?

I'm a smart guy, I know how to pull off alot things most people don't even think about. I've limited myself to what I do, because I believe in God. But if I didn't, I would be into so much more shit than what I was.. life would be pointless, you're going to die. So, all in all there exists no reason to live life, other than to rot in a box. If you were going to get caught and goto jail basically forever, you could blow your brains out.. you're not changing anything in the world.. just you got the inevitable over, just skipped alot of bullshit in life. I suppose if you're going to say, to love, to learn, to this and that.. but all that can be found in other lifestyles you wouldn't normally consider. And how can you love a person, you must believe they're just a walking, talking, pile of tissues and matter that automatically have a set hundred million reactions, everything is scientific to an extent, and nothing is random.. right? Evolution, essentially you're loving a gorilla, not a soul.. and a human being is just another animal really.

I limit myself for the God I believe in, not the goverment I don't.

P.S. I'm high, it's just something I've been curious about.. don't take it personal. Sometimes, I question it.. like, if I didn't believe in God.. what's the big deal about suicide? haha

Not believing in god has nothing to do with how you live your life.

Deciding what is right and wrong by what an Authority figure says is the adolescent form of morality. Using REASON to come to terms with morality is difficult and there is no final answer but at least you're thinking.

Why can't you do a bunch a bad stuff in life and then just accept Christ on your deathbed and get a clean slate? Besides, would an all loving, merciful God send you to an infinite hell for the finite wrongs you did here? Why wouldn't He just obliterate you from existence?

I can see the government, so you must be stupid if you don't think they exist..Now God on the other hand, NOONE can see, therefore...

Did God invent morals? Does God arrest you if you kill someone? Unless theres a really big fucking conspiracy, I think if I commit crimes, I'll goto jail, I don't want to goto jail, therefore I don't "live the life of crime".
I'm a NICE person, I don't have to believe in imaginary friends in order to be a nice person.

Yeah dude, what the hell are you talking about. I don't believe in god but I believe in a form of government and law enforcement. Why don't I commit crimes? Because I'm not an idiot. I would be incarcerated for a long time and THAT WOULD NOT BE FUN. And as for suicide, why the hell would anyone want to commit suicide. I'm way to interested in the intricacies of life and the universe to just throw everything away just like that.

There's a load more I wanna say but the fam just showed up. *fuck!*

    I second the pom....

haha I wont have to post shit of my opinion just
copy/paste everyone elses that I agree with.

I'd say we choose our own path, it is altered by who we socialise with, along with who we are originaly. But I believe that we are born decent people and that it is all crap that influences use to bend the wrong way.

I didn't even think of that, isn't heaven supposed to be just like living anyway?
Why risk believing in God, seeing as how sins are so easy to commit..
    "I want.."
"Sorry, You are now going to hell!"

    Why risk going to hell?

Only if you repent, but how do you repent from wanting something?
If I had the money, I would LOVE a Mclaren Mercedes SLR, how can I repent from wanting it?

it can't possibly be a sin to want anything at all? even the non-sinner 'wants' to stay sin-free, whether they say it or not. i'm sure i'm probably interpretting this the wrong way since I don't know anything about the bible..so, please clarify for me

Thou shalt not covert thy neighbours ox.
Meaning, if you want something that someone else has, its a sin; envy.

Its wanting a physical thing, not wanting to do something.

    DON'T COVET THY NEIGHBOUR'S GOODS!!!!!!!

Seriously, a few thousand years ago, the leaders of society got together and made up this story that was based on the people's superstitions and whatnot, and made up "religion" so that they could control society. It's the biggest joke in history (to me anyways) that after thousands of years, people still haven't figured it out.

Why don't I live a life of crime? Because you don't need to "believe" in an invisible person in the sky to know the difference between right and wrong.

Some of the values of religion (don't steal, don't kill, be kind to one another, etc) are great, but a) like I said, you don't need it to be a good person, and b) the whole thing, the story, the system, the beliefs, is a crock of shit.

you as a person are defined by what other people think of you. if noone knows you or will never know you, you do not exist. once you commit an act (something as simple as talking to someone) you alter your being, however minutely. morality is not solely a religious endeavour. if you do good things for other people, you become a good person, and vice versa. the authority is not a steady reason to do good. rather one should do good to improve the world, leave it better than you found it. unfortunately there are far too many people nowadays that care only for themselves.

People with the OP's veiwpoint I dont think I will ever understand. Its like they think we dont have morals and values to live up to just because we dont believe in "an imaginary friend".

    TOTAL BULLSHIT.
