I think I'm going to start learning how to make soups. I love potato soup and it shouldn't be too hard to make. Plus potatoes are dirt cheap and bacon isn't that bad, either. And a huge pot of that will last forever and will be able to be easy combined with other things.

maybe something you should invest in is a slow cooker.

you prepare the meal in the morning and put it in this thing for like 8 hours and then when you get home from class, your meal is cooked, its amazing.

also, what is skillet and stew meat?

leeks, sour cream, bacon and cheese is a winner.

also, cabbage, bacon and sour cream is a favourite with roast dinner.

    Skillet.

Stew meat is just in your meat section of the grocery store. It's diced up, not a very good cut, but it cooks well into things and it tenders if you cook it slowly. It's also really cheap. A pound is like $3.

most are either shit I learned from my dad, from friends, or just came up with on my own. I'm usually hella busy so I either grab something quick on the run, or want something I can make at home in a few minutes.

Lots of tasty sounding stuff in the thread, I'll have to try them all sometime. I'll add one of my own.

Bread, pepperoni, shredded parmesean cheese, pizza sauce.

Cook it like a grilled cheese and you got a pizza sandwich. They cook up quick. I did this after getting bored of grilled cheese.

It's a collection of recipes that are intended for college students, meaning they're quick and cheap.

my best tip is to buy a george foreman grill.. you can cook anything in those. toasted sandwiches are qucik and easy and you can put whatever you want in them. let your imagination run wild.

aedeos gets the gold star for the cast iron.

    healthy fake shore stroganoff:

    1 lb lean ground beef
    1 small white onion
1 cup diced mushroom (not the shroomywayne kind)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
    egg noodles

cook beef, onions, and mushrooms any way you please while cooking beef. drain fat from beef.

add noodles to boiling water. cook noods until done, drain.

add noodles and all other cooked ingredients to bowl. add can of cream of mush soup. milk and or sour cream as desired.

    stir, and serve.

i usually add salt and paprika as needed.
