That would suck to have no brakes,
especially coming down a huge hill

Well this is my kind of thread. Here are three of my bikes at least.

    My Cervelo P3C

My Soloist. So many miles on this and going strong.

    And my mountain bike.

I have several more bikes, plus my team issued bikes but these are my favorite three by far.

My LeMond, mind you it was made before Greg sold out to trek. It has an older Campagnolo chorus groupset. Campagnolo wheelset as well. Pretty much all my parts are campagnolo except the seatpost, neck and handlebars.

I noticed no one has a lugged frame (at least from what i could see) Lugged > welded

My bmx bike, Its an Old Volume Compton. I really need a new bike its a fucking tank.

ya its an old bike, some of the parts i bought new in the late 90s. Like my forks (pitchforsks btw) stem (redneck) and cranks. But i still ride it when i get the chance. Rust gives it character.

    here it is in action

Basically im goofy footed but ride my bike like im not. Weird eh?

    nice pics, esp the icepick..

i have ditch forks so i can run a lighter 3/8 axel front wheel but have a hazard 14mm in the back, i have solid turnbars and stem, profile 3 piece, and run a gyro cuz i like to bar spin, but i switch to a cable if imma ride a lot of dirt..

so i stopped by a local bike shop and asked around

this store sells only 3 brands. giant, trek and specialized.

i decided that i want a road bike, pretty much entry-level i guess. she showed me the specialized allez, the trek 2.1 and the giant ocr 1.

i reeeeally like the specialized allez triple. does anyone know anything about this bike? it retails for 850.

i asked the woman if it would be easier to buy the parts and assemble myself (i figured it would be) but she said no.

i guess my question is, should i buy this brand new bike (anticipating 5 or so years with it) or buy an older, used model? im completely new to bikes (my last one was a huffy ironman, haha)

i realized i could search google for some reviews, and i have, but i also figured i could post in this thread and get some quality help.
