I've been just listening to the songs embedded here and I think I'm addicted to Dubstep now. Any good way to listen to a good selection of Dubstep other than watching Youtube videos? Grooveshark doesn't seem to work well for this genre. Any good downloads out there to jump start my collection?

"Ultimate Dubstep"s will get you a pretty extensive track list, for some pretty common songs.

I forgot to mention I was looking for a way to not torrent. I've gotten in trouble 3 times on my campus for downloading files illegally through torrents and the next offense is potential expulsion. If I can't find anything by the next time I go home I'll just use a torrent though.

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that has its roots in London's early 2000s UK garage scene. Musically, dubstep is distinguished by its 2-step rhythm, or use of snare sounds similar to 2-step garage and grime, and an emphasis on bass, often producing "dark" sounds, but just as frequently producing sounds reminiscent of dub reggae or funky US garage. Dubstep tracks are generally produced at a tempo of around 140 beats per minute

lol I was joking bro, genre wars are just stupid, I realize that song has a 180bpm, but it was a transitional period if anything, especially for Nero and his D&B.

Also, lets agree to not quote wiki anymore.

edit: But ill try to redeem myself for that DnB post lol

Nice, glad dubstep is making it out over there. Here's a few of my faves atm..

This one was made by a 15yr old.. immense.

Great remix of Nina Simone.. chilled but heavy, nice to smoke/relax to.

Remix of the tune from Twilight.

& some heavier stuff which I'm into more than the Rusko/Caspa wibble wobble shit atm.
