    Gilbert Arenas

will his new cell mate be plaxico burress?

Gilbert Arenas is under serious investigation in regards to reports that him and Javaris Crittenton pulled guns on each other in the locker room regarding a $25,000 gambling debt.
Washington D.C. takes it's gun laws very seriously, so Arenas' problems with the law could just be starting. And if he did brandish a firearm in the team's locker room, it's not beyond reason that the Wiz could attempt to terminate his contract.

I'm pretty upset about this. Always thought very highly of Gilbert throughout his time here on the disappointing Wiz but its hard, impossible, to let this slide. It's such a ridiculous situation...I know my housemate has already mentioned taking down his poster of Gil.

Yeah, I'm more interested in the gambling part of the whole thing. Wonder what they were betting on.

Yahoo Sports! reporter Adrian Wojnarowski believes after talking with several league office and team sources that Gilbert Arenas could receive a suspension that extends over months, and possibly the rest of the season.
Wojo provides a narrative for what happened between him and Javaris Crittenton, with details that include a high-stakes card game that resulted in Arenas not paying his debt, causing the alleged incident. There is no smoking gun in the story (no pun intended), but it does provide a clearer picture of what potentially happened, and the only takeaway one can have is that Arenas' fate is in David Stern's and the law's hands.

I read some quotes from him saying "I give away money, why wouldn't I pay $25K if I owed it"...and him denying its as serious as it is, or even pulling a gun on Crittenton...whatever. I'm surprised he is not treating the matter very seriously, his first statements to the press were all about how he is a jokester and stuff. I guess we just gotta wait to see what happens with investigations, but with a relatively good season statistically after two years of knee injuries, I can't believe he's fuckin crazy enough to get into this. In DC nonetheless.

This single event plus all the other dumbass nig things that the players do, throw in the corrupt referees and I would sooner take bets on professional wrestling than the NBA.

If I was the Wizards I'd terminate his contract so fast. He's getting paid fat money, and he won't be as good as he could've been since those surgerys on his knee I think.

    Guys a dumbfuck.

Going to see AI vs. Arenas and co. tonight...

Should be interesting seeing as how it may be one of his last games, at least for the season.

The NBA is reportedly considering suspending Gilbert Arenas before the legal process involving his gun possession concludes.
While the league usually waits until the courts have made a decision, "Arenas has already admitted to breaking league rules on gun possession both publicly and to federal investigators." The incident took place in a lockerroom a is already smearing the NBA's public image -- most expect David Stern to come down hard on Arenas.
