    i have been getting good gains over the past year. im a big guy with long arms (260, 6'2''), and i have been training on a circuit bench to because i like how fast it is to change weight. but anyways, i started out with a pretty embarrassing bench, probably 5RM of about 180. all i would do is 3x10 of as high a weight as i could handle and still come close to completing all 3 sets. over the course of the next year or so it just gradually progressed. this past january i was able to put up 265x4 right before i injured my shoulder in jiu jitsu. now im building back up again by doing 3x10 of 205, i think next week i will jump up to 3x10 215 and see how it goes. just keep doing reps until you cant push em up anymore. i hit a big wall at around 250, was stuck there for months, then finally it pushed through. i mostly do flat bench and incline. so OP, have you hit the magic number yet?

    so my gym attendance and diet has been crappy but im still maintaining, did 185x2x6 on flat bench tonight. last time i attempted it i only got 5,5.

    no i dont expect ill be hitting the magic number until i can get my ass back on track. im happy maintaining/making small gains for now

    as for your chest, all i can say man is eat lots of protein, and do lots of chest exercises. high weight, as many reps and you can. my chest routine is pretty simple. flat bench, incline bench, butterflies, and an incline butterfly (sit with your back on incline bench, grab some 15lb weights and hold them out to the side with the dumbell vertical, then bring them to the front of you, rotating them so that they meet horizontal in the middle, when they are getting close the the center, squeeze your chest together and you will fell it burn, this for for working the center of your pecs) other than that, maybe some pushups before bed

    Me and my buddy go to the gym daily... he weighed in at 172 tonight and he maxed out at 335 on bench. He's around 5'8'.
    I weighed in at 165 tonight and I maxed at 265 and I'm about 5'9".

    i'm on track to hit 215 in a week or two. once summer starts i'll be working even more, but i won't have class to worry about, so hopefully I can get back on a regular gym schedule again.

    did 200x3,200x2 a bit back. and 205x2.5 yesterday, but i was only a hair away from hitting it and fully expect to get it next week.

    haven't deadlifted in god knows how long, so i did tonight

    345x4, 295x8, then some ab stuff. gonna bench again soon and hopefully hit 205x3 for sure

    quit a bit early but felt great about the workout. it's nice to see i've improved from the last time I started this program, 160 felt like i was pushing air
