they're crooked in many of the shots.

    The second here, most notably

Here, the house photo and the tv photo are both pretty noticeable, too.

Nice shots, I've been looking into the Nikon's too. The Canon T2i is on sale today but I'm leaning more towards the Nikon and just going to be patient for a good sale. My father has a T1i (that I bought him for Christmas last year) and he loves it, but I don't like it as much as I liked the Nikon I tried out.

I like the TV shot, and just noticed that you have what looks like 4 different chairs at that table haha. Expensive camera > 4 matching chairs.

If you want video ability, maybe go for the t2i? The D3000 doesn't have video which sucks, but I've never been into it that much anyways, maybe someday..

ahaha that's funny. yeah there are actually 4 matching chairs(one out of the frame), only one of them is different.

Didn't find any of it visually stunning. Seemed all mediocre to me.

ahh, here are some attempts at water color, mostly unfinished.

Good, because you aren't my intended audience. the only thing visually stunning to you is probably food.

Hahahaha, someone is butthurt. Don't get mad at me because you're not impressive, turn that inward. Not everyone is going to be positive, learn to understand that.

I'm just saying my intended audience is myself, you're just an onlooker. I'm just experimenting dude. I got this camera a week ago, you expect me to take "visually stunning" shots within a week of getting my very first DSLR? I know I'm not a pro, and I'm not pretending to be.

I never said you were a professional, nor did I imply that you had said anything close to that. If your intended audience is yourself, then why post this on a forum? I do believe other people look at threads.

I do happen to like the second water color though.

On your black and white photo's you need to boost the contrast. get some whites and blacks in there and they will be more appealing, they are just too gray right now.

Forget pictures, I would love to see the scenes of the pictures you took in real life. Man I need to travel.

As for the drawing of the shark, cool scene but you are missing depth. There is not enough shading/highlighting so the majority of that appears to be on a flat plane. Just add some quick shadows/highlights and it will be beast

possibly use more of a brown on the rocks in the shark pic as well, the gray looks to unnatural.
