For now, I think it's just a slight hint that the Bureau agent is either a mega-weirdo, and/or will be stalking and pressuring Margaret Schroeder for a while, and/or corrupting his character to the viewers (us) so it will be easier to deal with his inevitable killing. lol

Ok that wasn't nearly as creepy as the way Jimmy acted with his Mom...

+1. At first, I thought it was a mistress. Then a sister. But lo and behold, it's his mother, with reference to having to sell the necklace to feed the family when he was younger. It was a weird mother/son welcome either way lol.

I dont understand the Bureau man's action with the hair ribbon either...it seems like everyone is taking a liking to Ms. Schroeder. A quote from a show recap in regards to the G man:

"So is Van Alden in love with Margaret? A two-faced perv? Congenitally creepy? All of the above?"

well shit...Makes an already weird scene even weirder. I missed the complete dialogue between the characters and just assumed it was his sister when he referred to his dad and she seemed comparable in age. Thanks for clearing that one up

I think there is a lot more to the agent. I thought the scene where the mob boss is explaining the cue ball trick is just classic Scorcese, pretty much sold it for me.

so clearly Jimmy isn't working both sides. Too bad, that would have been cool.

Also, I wasn't sure who killed the black kid and carved that shit into the car. I assume its the guy sent from New York to kill Jimmy? but that was never mentioned, so... ?

I figured it was the dude that was running the liquor business before the black guy, the one that was sold out to the cops and nucky didn't bail out (forget his name, weird laugh guy).

Great fucking episode, I wonder if Jimmy actually goes to Chicago and stays there for a little with Al or if he goes back home.

Yeah I see the most potential of an amazing character in Jimmy. If shit goes how I hope it goes with him becoming full-on gangster, that will be glorious.

how factual is this show trying to be? I dont know much about the prohibition runners, or the twenties for that matter.. obviously they are going to show the rise of capone, but how real is everything else that is happening? I thought it was kind of wierd that they brought him in there, i just thought the whole show would be fictional but now im just a little confused.

I wonder if they will include John Kennedy's father getting rich off of a prohibition ring...

What was the significance of the closing scene with nucky? Maybe I need to watch the entire episode again because I was really drunk when I watched it.

Just a metaphorical reference to all the "dirt" nucky's been walking through.
