    For the hunters

If any of you guys are hunters where do you go, what for, and what is your preferred set up?

I hunt deer in my back yard (central Pa), sometimes I'll venture into the woods and put on a drive with my buddies.

that's my dream... I used to live the dream till I was 4(when I had deer in my backyard) but I obviously didn't hunt then. Someday I will return.

I just got my .243 a week ago, I'm going to try some public land up near steam boat this year. But if I can't draw a deer license I'm just going to go for elk with a bow.

I am also in the same spot, I have a long summer ahead of me for scouting deer and elk.

I hunt White Tails most often, Moose, Elk and Mule Deer when I get drawn. Typically used a .308 since I started hunting 11 years ago. Last few years I have switched to a Tikka T3 .270 Winchester Short Mag.

I hunt turkey on a piece of property I own in whitesboro (no deer there unfortunately). I want to do some dove hunting but I'm tired of paying the lease prices. They have gone up to 150-200 this year.
12ga is really the only choice for me for turkey

Mostly deer and turkey around here. Ruger M77 .243 for deer and a remmington 870 wingmaster for the birds. I also hit the varmits hard in the summer. Fox, groundhogs, coon.

I like to use my Benelli super nova for ducks and geese, Remington 1100 in 20 guage for pheasant and rabbit, and my .270 Remington game master (yes its a pump action and that to me is bad ass) for white tail, or my bow for early archery. Favorite though is muzzle loader season, I built my own kit from Dixiegun mag so its pretty sweet and totally unique
