Cheapest way to travel/stay in Vegas?

I was wondering if there are any certain tips/tricks anyone had to save money on airfare and hotel to Vegas? My buddy and I are going July 15th-18th, and the lowest we've found for a hotel on the strip was the Luxor (basic room, 2 beds) and Allegiant Air departing from Eugene, OR at night was $800. Seems a little expensive to me...

Also, know of any good promo codes to enter in to travel sites to discount prices?

MGM does $55 a night deals all the time, especially in the shitty economy. It's your best bet for dollar/quality and I'm sure you could find some flight packages in there. Check out slickdeals.net and search for Vegas, or hookers, that probably works too.

    yes

    here's a map of the strip. http://www.vegas.com/lounge/map.html

i was just in vegas last june and the employees are really worried about the economy there. they said you can get rooms for way way less than you should be able to. just check any of the standard travel sites that offer package deals.

if you wanna attempt to do them separately, try kayak.com for the best flight and best hotel prices individually

Check out this thread for all the hotel deals... http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/trav...25/?start=2660 Go through the last couple of pages to find the latest deals.

MGM Grand has Twitter Thursday hotel deals... Check their twitter account (http://twitter.com/mgmgrand) around 3 EDT tomorrow to see what it is. Other hotels do it as well.

Also stay at the MGM vs. Luxor... Luxor is pretty much at the end of the strip. MGM also has its own monorail stop.

Another question now that the trip is booked...

We are staying at the Luxor and want to go to LAX, but don't want to wait in line. We found a deal for $65 per person per night that is a "walk in" service so we don't have to wait in line and it takes care of cover. Is this a good deal or are there better companies/offers?

    This is the company..

Also, what are some other good clubs around LAX?

Last time I went I stayed at the Luxor... and when you check-in they gave you a booklet of coupons and shit. I believe there was something in it for free entrance for women and $35-40 cover for guys.

If you got some free time and can score some free tickets, go see Fantasy. Pretty entertaining comedy/topless show.

Also, follow Luxor (and any other hotel for that matter) on Twitter (http://twitter.com/luxorlv) to see what's going on and any deals taking that place. The Mexican place within the Luxor has 2 for 1 margarita's every so often.
