Hancock. There is a very accessible bar at the top. Go in the doors behind Best Buy on Chestnut and find the elevator. There's not much to look at on the west side, though. I have never been inside the Sears Tower even though I work very close to it.

If you like spending money river north has all the expensive shopping stores and the water tower mall there. i dont go to many of them but I go to grad school there and I'm always passing all these stores.

THere is a hole in the wall bar called Pippins Tavern and I love it.

Damn Chicago was a fucking blast. Only thing we didn't get to do was go to the Sears tower. There was a 90min wait to get to the top....I said fuck that. I wish I had more time to send there, the only thing that sucked about the city was how much it cost to park. I sent a crap load of money just in parking for 2 days. I guess if you live in the city you really don't need to have a car.

It's only been worse since the city sold it's rights to parking meters :/ Hopefully a lawsuit will fix it

I've been to Chicago 6 or 7 times and never done the Sears tower thing... it has never seemed worth it to wait and pay $15 to go up an elevator

I've always liked Gino's pizza better than Giordano's and I would've suggested doing one of the trolley tours especially when the weather is nice, it's a real easy way to relax and enjoy the architecture of the city

I went to chicago in July, absolutely loved the city. Me and my girlfriend walked from downtown to the zoo (which is free, pretty kick ass) then all the way down to soldier field and back downtown to see the fireworks off navy pier which are fairly awesome. Ate in some hole in the wall pub (Monk's pub or something) was pretty good, had peanuts on the tables (first for me I've never thrown peanut shells on the floor of a bar but its strangely satisfying).
