    Trip to Wine Country

My girlfriend and I are taking our first trip out to wine country California. We plan on staying in the Dry Creek area as that is where most of my favorite vineyards are as well as the vineyards that I do business with.

We are going to be staying at the guest house on the Forth Vineyard just because I met part of the family and the price is amazing, $145 a night. Anyone that has ever been there or knows anything useful, I'd appreciate it if you could share.

So is that in Napa? My parents have pretty extensive contacts in the valley next to Napa, can't remember the name but It's V something. Let me know and maybe I'll get some juicy info for you.

Dry Creek is about 100 miles south of Napa

I'm mostly looking to go and be around Healdsburg, we do a lot of business with Jordan and Ridge and I really want to visit both of those, especially since they'll give me tons of free wine.

Nice. I feel like I get really disheartened whenever we go to vineyards anywhere around here. Most of the time the wine just isn't very good at all, and definitely not for the price.

The only thing that really sucks is the plane ticket, I've been to a few Canadian Vineyards and some local ones, but I really want to get out to Cali.

The travel forum seems like a pretty effective way to kill a good thread.

I live around that area and have been on a wine train tour. I HIGHLY recommend you look into it and book asap because these things can sell out a month in advance.

I did the Grgich Hills Winery Tour, but any of those tours should be awesome. Since you're going with your girl I recommend any of the Dome Dinner/Lunch tours to get a wine valley romantic setting.
