Dont forget Lake Meade and the Hoover dam for family fun. Also if you are up for a drive, the Grand Canyon isn't that far away. You can sleep over in Williams AZ after visiting the canyon. The little cowboy town is located on Rt 66 at the south entrance to the canyon park and has 2 motel 6s and they are clean and cheap. The little town is awesome! We always go hike for at least one day.We are doing the North Rim again this time. Too hot in Aug for the South rim.

Hey good list. Most of the things I knew of before hand. A couple I didn't. I'll try to think of some things so you can add to your list.

Last time I was in Vegas I did a research study for CBS. I'm assuming its a pretty common thing... But just go to MGM and go through the casino... past the restaurant area... and where there's like a CSI booth/attraction there's people handing out flyers for a research study.

My friend and I did it and made $150 each for an hour long discussion about what TV shows we watch. Simple and easy.

Other shit we did was sign up for loyalty cards at every casino to get some free play. All varies per place, but free play or deals on chips isn't bad.

wow this is an amazing list. I look at slickdeals but this is just absolutely insane. Thanks for the repost.

What really surprises me is how cheap a trip to Vegas can be... I guess the catch is that if you ever really let go and say fuck it even for one or two nights you could drown yourself pretty quickly. Maybe the bet is that you'll go there thinking you can keep all the temptation in check...

It's possible. I was there in February... So they basically framed their questions about possibly bringing Conan to CBS. Regular pay is $75... but since it was filled they asked if we could come back the next day. So they gave us $75 each upfront for the trouble and then $75 the following day after the study.

If you got like 90 minutes to spare and want some gambling money, I'd recommend doing it.

Awesome list, I ate at McDonald's pretty much every meal while I was there. I was also comped a $30 buffet, which I was excited about, at the mirage. Worst buffet I've ever been to. They had lobster and all that shit, and every bit of it was just gross. Low quality lobster is bad.

Well you gotta think about how long it takes to get the fuckin lobster to Las Vegas.. Its in the middle of the desert, so its gotta be flown in. As a rule of thumb, if your not on the coast, stay away from seafood, or atleast dont have high expectations for it

I was just there. There aren't currently offering any cash, just lame discounts for things at the MGM. You can still watch some free TV if you need a break from gambling, though.
