and even if they do, that means nothing about the conference except they get good players.

meh i think looking at the draft is a bad way to say who is a better conference, i mean if it was a way to rank players then whoever wins the heisman every year should be drafted number 1 or 2 right? could possibly be the bednarik award

    FUCK YES.

UGA's recruiting class is one of the best in the country. I'm excited for the next 3 years.

I think it's safe to say that the SEC is fairly dominant when it comes to recruiting the last few years.

You can't buy in to all of that stuff. There are teams with a million 5 star recruits that do nothing with them. You are telling me Clemson is any good because they have a top 10 recruiting class?

meh its just something to cheer about in the off season. its kinda like the draft, not all great players come from the 1st rounds

Well if you listen to some people on here 1st round picks seem to define the success of a college football team.

I do like that the whole thing is a great reason to talk about college football in the off season. Just like the spring games. It's crap and doesn't really matter, but hey we get to talk about college football.

Well at the very least, the SEC generally recruits the best and performs the best in the season.

So...... I guess ten is just going to devalue every success of the SEC.

When did I ever mention anything having to do with the SEC and recruiting classes and how did I devalue their success in recruiting?

I'm saying that the correlation between recruiting rankings and future success tends to be absurd regardless of conference.

Michigan had a nice little string of best class in the Big-10 that seemed to have worked out. Clemson seems to always have a decent class, it's amazing how much of a powerhouse that school has turned into. 3-4 years ago Tennessee had the top classes in the SEC. I'm glad those juniors and seniors panned out. I'm just saying you can't buy into recruiting, the grading is stupid and the big 3 generally disagree and have ridiculous variances across the board.

I'm not ripping anyone. I'm ripping the hype behind recruiting classes. The only thing that is good about it is that it's a reason to talk about football when the season is over.

If u look at the All-SEC team less than half of them were in the ESPN top 150, so u cant really base everything on the evaluations of the scouts at ESPN, there gonna get some wrong.

But Phyllis is right its just something to talk about in the offseason.

Nike needs to stop making new uniforms, ASU and WSU look pretty bad.
