Bugs from last weekend (awesome spider takedown itt)

Went out last weekend and got some great shots. Everything was taken with a nikon d90 + 105mm f/2.8

    1. THis little spider was curious and friendly. She jumped on me pretty quick after spotting me.

    4.

    5. Bye!

The following shots are, well, awesome. This jumping spider was sitting on a leaf stalking a fly. I knew what was coming so i got out my tripod, and just as i was about to hit record, she attacked. So I didn't get it on video, but i got some amazzing photos.

    6. Hunter

    7. Prey

    8.

    9.

    10. Action shot!

    11.

    12.

    13.

    14. At this point i moved in closer and she noticed me. The fly stopped struggling at this point.

    16. This just might be the best shot i've taken this year. I love it.

    18. Paper wasp

    19. Crop of above

    20. No idea what this is. Some kind of nymph im guessing.

I'd like to think the spider is looking at you saying "Mothafucka mind your own damn business"

YES!! I poke my head in the "Graphic Display" section hoping for new macro bug shots at least 3 times a week.

19 is gorgeous and most all of the jumping spider shots are top notch material. I love those little jumping spiders! Whenever I see one around the house/at work, I always try to get it to jump on me and hang for a bit. They seem so inquisitive.

Dude I love 6. There is so much tension in that spiders posture... Very cool stuff man, I want to go shoot some macro stuff every time I look at your shots.

#17 is crazy. The depth of field is nuts. You have tiny insects less than an inch apart and the fly is completely out of focus. Wish it wasn't, but awesome shot regardless.
