    Getting a .45, which one

been doing some research for a bit now and just narrowing it down. i know i want a .45 just torn between a SA XD, or glock, not really looking to get to either just to conceal, but i dont want to rule it out. Mainly just to have around and know if i wanted to i can. im looking at either the glock 37 or a SA XD maybe compact. Any input is appreciated.

Throw the M&P into the mix and you have 3 top tier guns that are "essentially"* the same thing. That is to say, if you are set on a polymer frame. I'd say handle them and see which fits you best, even better to shoot them if you can. In lieu of that, I'd vote Glock. You won't go wrong with either though.

Or get a 1911 and ball so hard bitches get pregnant.

*sure there are differences but to most users they are pretty much the same. Slightly different ergonomics, but comparable reliability/reputation and performance. But just like with trucks or tractors, there will always be fans of one and not the other (I vote Case IH for tractors and Ford for trucks, btw ).

I have the Glock 21SF as my duty weapon that I also carry off duty. Or my RIA .45 1911. BECAUSE I'M A BAWSE.

At one time, I wanted an M&P. That was until my cousin picked one up before his deployment. I really don't like the half break trigger on the M&P's.

Can't go wrong with a Glock.

Just shoot both of them and make your mind up.

Fucking love my baby eagle .45

Heavy so might not work for conceal but it's comfortable, and accurate.

    I own 3 handguns in .45
    Heckler and Koch 45C
    Glock 21 FDE
Glock 30 SF with TFO sights.
I can post pix of these any time to compare. But I would highly recommend any of these three... IMO besides high end 1911's these are the best .45's you can get.

that was kinda of my thoughts, no point in getting a 1911 unless its high end IMO and they are kinda pricey. looking to stay within the 5-700 range so that kinda narrowed it down to a handfull

Agree. I have a S&W 1911 ($500) and it's a machine. A Springfield Mil Spec is in the right price range and a damn good pistol too.

I have a XD(M) 4.5" 45ACP. I have nothing to complain about this gun. I do like that it was sold as a kit. It came with 2 magazines, an easy loader, holster, and storage case. It is also super easy to aim. I'm no gun expert, so I can't give an in-depth review. All I can say is that after buying this gun, I haven't looked for another pistol.

Ain't it lovely? Never have to worry about them getting knocked out of alignment.
