This is a stretch... but when that old tree man said Bran will fly, maybe he's going to teach him how to control something that's not near him, the black dragon. They warned him not to use his powers for too long or else he may lose sense of whats real and become them?

As everyone else said, loved this episode. Thank god they didn't end it with a huge cliff hanger like so many other shows like to do.

I' glad Tyrion got away, he's probably my favorite character. I wonder what's going to happen to king's landing now and how Jamie will feel about all of this. I'm thinking Cersei will start another war trying to find Tyrion and probably killing everything in her path to do so.

I didn't think about Bran controlling the dragons, that makes allot of sense.

Man, waiting 1 year for the next season is brutal!

Old Tree Dude did say he's been many things. He might be able to shapeshift and actually BE the Three Eyed Raven. Might teach Bran how to shapeshift.

With this episode, the final thing that was spoiled for me was shown, and that was Tyrion killing Tywin. Although, I had no idea about any of the events leading up to that. No idea about how he'd escape, Shae, the crossbow, etc.

    Varys peacing out was funny.

Varys dipping was the brightest spot in that series of events

Yea I'm definately going to miss Tywin just as much as I missed Joefry when he died. They were both amazing villains

There will always be people to hate. Cut one down and another rises from the ashes. They were both exceptionally good actors, but that's not hard to find for a show this popular.

That was a great episode ! The best of the entire series by far.

I agree with @Aryon with the Bran theory. I think Bran will eventually take that old dudes place in the tree and control not only the three eyed raven but every living thing animal in the realm. Notice the old dude said something along the lines of "I've been watching you with a million eyes", or whatever. Why else had he been looking for him for so long if it wasn't of major importance ?

Biggest waste of a character this year: The Thenns.

In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, the Thenn are tribe of wildlings established in an eponymous valley on the northern end of the Frostfangs. The valley of Thenn is hidden deep within the northern Frostfangs, roughly three times as far north as the Fist of the First Men is from the Wall, but ironically it is one of the most fertile and hospitable areas north of the Wall. The entire valley is heated by volcanic activity giving it a far warmer climate than surrounding lands.

The Thenn are the most culturally sophisticated of the Free Folk. They speak the Old Tongue and consider themselves the last of the First Men. Indeed, their culture and technology level is very close to what the First Men were like centuries ago, before the coming of the Andals. Unlike other tribes of wildlings, the Thenn do have lords, who enforce established laws, making them the most disciplined and obedient of the Free Folk. They are led by a "Magnar", a word which means "Lord" in the Old Tongue, whom they consider more a god than a man. The valley of Thenn, therefore, is an odd island of fertile land and relative civilization in the far northern depths of the lands beyond the Wall. The Thenn do not engage in self-scarification and are not cannibals either. The only group of Free Folk known to be cannibals are the Ice-river clans.

Also, they are the only wildling group that has any knowledge of metallurgy, as they know how to forge weapons and even armor out of bronze. Such weapons were supplanted south of the Wall six thousand years ago when the Andal Invasion introduced iron weapons to the continent. However, most of the wildlings have no knowledge of how to forge metal at all, and commonly use simple weapons made of only stone, bone, or sharpened wood. Many of the other wildlings still manage to obtain iron weapons from raiding or trading with smugglers in exchange for furs and other resources, but this is not a consistent method for arming and equipping an entire army. In contrast, the Thenn are well-disciplined, commanded by their own lords, and are all uniformly armed with bronze weapons and armor. Thus the Thenn are one of the toughest wildling groups that the Night's Watch has to face.
Seems like they could have done a lot more with this clan.

I don't know, I think they did it pretty well. It seems like everyone keeps forgetting how little time they have in the show to cover details.
They made it pretty obvious how ridiculous and psycho the clan was, and they all looked as weird as you could have hoped for.
Obviously I had hoped they would at least reference the armor which made them so unique, but I don't think we ever saw a Thenn that didn't have some sort of metal forged weapon in the show. So it's not like they didn't try.
It's just really fucking hard to cram so much story into 10 hours of footage.

The way they presented the mountain, qyburn, and cersei in the finale i wouldn't be surprised if the mountain lived.
