i am officially in the 1000 lbs club. this week was 1RM week.

monday - my previous squat PR was 3x330. i wanted at least 350. i got 350 pretty easy. i went for 365 twice after and failed both times. i probably could've gotten 355 or maybe 360, but 350 is good enough.

wednesday - my previous bench PR was 1x265, hit a few weeks ago. i wanted 275. i got close but couldn't quite get it. 265 stays my bench PR.

friday - my previous dead PR was 3x385, hit just last week. went for 405. it was coming up easy, but once i got to about my knees, i felt some pops in my lower back and dropped the weight. i was initially scared that i had herniated a disc or something. i went to the doc, and she said it's probably just really pulled muscles. ibuprofen + toradol shot + valium should fix me up. i'm pretty pissed. i don't know what i did wrong because i wasn't filming. i know i had that 405, too. fuckin sucks. next time.

    350 + 265 + 385 = 1000

i think i'm capable of a 405-425 dead, so that puts me beyond the 1000 lbs. making progress.

nice. i am still a bench bro atm. as far as my pt is concerned he said i should be able to get a bar on my back again within the next month or so. pain is pretty much gone and hes taught me a lot about bracing my back. he's now working on my noassatall syndrome

so you hit big PRs the first two training days and then are upset that you hurt yourself when your CNS had nothing left? Got it...

    that's super great news man.

my back is feeling great. i hit a set of 8x300 for squats today. felt great, and a huge 8RM for me (my don't remember my previous, but it probably wasn't over 265 or 270).

staying raw, just looking for squat and deadlift overloads lol. I got into a bench shirt a couple weeks ago and learned a lot from it in one day. and i benched 500 to a 3 board easy...

for real though, get yourself some briefs. i would do all speed work in them and some ME stuff.

i agree with it i have worn the metal jacked briefs and i got a lot out of them . i own briefs and 2 single ply suits i can use with straps down but my goal is to compete twice a year one raw and one single ply once i am back to 100%. only thing i need is a deadlift suit because i one i have is a bit small.

i think everyone should get a chance to try on some gear it really helps a raw lifted with overloads and cues. kness out and sit back bring a whole new meaning when you got briefs on. it would also help eliminate the geared vs raw crap because people would understand while the gear does allow you to lift more it isnt easier

the briefs i have on, i can pull up with my hands about 90% of the way. bunch of the metal and EFS gear is garbage. the overkill stuff that my training partners have on take about 5 minutes of hanging off hooks to slide on but they are brand new briefs. i'll post up some other videos we have as well.

its the same injury from over a year ago that i finally got a diagnosis for a couple months ago. i just kept retweaking it because no one could tell me what it was

but now i have zero pain i just need to take my time building back up

not that i have anything against crossfit but if i was doing that my back would have been worse because of the olympic lifts
