It's interesting that the concept for denying climate change, while technically correct, is not even the issue at hand. People like Cruz rightly note that our climate changes, and has changed; much warmer and much cooler. In other words, the difference in climate that people are so alarmed about is nothing, it could even simply be artifact in the data collection.

I think the point that gets missed in a lot of the discussion though isn't how much the climate is changing, but rather how fast. Every body talks about "climate change", the "climate is changing". Well no shit, that's what climates do, but the rate of change is what is the real issue. The issue that is leading everybody to conclude it's man made and scary because there is no precident for it. No way to know what to expect from it.

Anyway, Ted's trying to be smart. God help us if we have a Cruz V Clinton race in 2016. If so I'm going to do everything within my power to hasten this climate change situation and bring this world to an end. We'll deserve it.

here is one example. Economic populism is laughably un-thought-out to conclusion. The government does not "produce" anything. Including jobs.

So you don't agree that the wealthy aren't paying their fair share? That we loose shit tons via tax loopholes? That trickle down economics doesn't work?

not necessarily. Define who "the wealthy" are, what "wealthy" is, and define fair share first

agree. The progressive tax system has a lot of opportunity for abuse and trickle down economics does not "work". But that last fact should not be extrapolated to mean capitalism is not the most equitable system, yet still flawed, or that businesses do not create jobs - that'd be stupid.

Increasing the minimum wage is going to do a lot more to stimulate the economy than continuing with our current model: tax cuts for the rich, esp the top 1%, and increasing CEO pay.

Because of tax loopholes, the ultra rich don't pay shit for taxes. We pay a higher percentage than they do.

citation needed on the first part. Agree on the second part, re: "rich" individuals (even though they aren't "cuts" that they qualify for). And if I find the amount that a company pays their CEO to be inconsistent with that companies performance I certainly may choose to stop patronizing that company (and i do).

higher percentage, yes. higher amount, no. Again, the progressive tax system has some serious problems. don't fool yourself into thinking a member of the 1% is going to change that either, regardless the color of pin they wear on their lapel.

"the workers"? Prior to starting my own business I was an employee. I never felt like I was getting "fucked" Sometimes i felt like I was robbing my employer with what I was being paid VS work produced. that's not the case anymore though, now I am getting fucked. (assuming the criteria for getting fucked is hrs worked versus wage earned)

Corporate greed, a political system fueled largely by that same corporate greed, brainwashed morons that don't recognize trickle down economics as the massive scam that it is, a right wing party moving further and further from center, the list can go for quite a while.

But yes, the scam that is 'trickle down economics' and the corporate greed that increased and grew more powerful through it, is a huge part of it.
