These are not technically books, however they are audio lectures by top professors in their respective fields. They have these courses on nearly everything: Philosophy, Science, History, Religion, Language, Literature, Music, Math, Business, Psychology, Economics, Art and under each of those headings are numerous collections of concentrations and disciplines. They are really phenomenal. I've listened to many, there website is http://www.thegreatcourses.com/ but you can get them on Audible.com for MUCH less, like some go for 10 bucks and some up to 40, but they really are worth every dollar. Not every one is great, but here are just a few that i found to be REALLY GREAT.

you can also find these on torrent sites with tags like "the teaching company" or "TTC" or "Modern Scholar" or "Great Courses".. I know IPT has a few freeleech compilations.

anyway, anyone else know of these? listen to any good ones?
